nune is a small design studio with completed and current projects in new york, los angeles, london + madrid. we work on private homes and staging projects.

we are driven by the simple belief that thoughtful design contributes to well-being. we work as a collaborative team with our clients, architects, construction teams, craftspeople and artists to create environments that allow their inhabitants to feel good, and that lay as lightly on the planet as possible. we design with consideration for both the environment and human health, and we strive to support small businesses doing interesting and ethical work.

sheena holton founded nune (formerly sheep + stone) in 2014, spent 12 years living in new york, seattle, lyon + bangalore before she returned home to london in 2018 and now lives and works between london + madrid. during her time in new york, she worked alongside her business partner, Tor Sauder (now of Tor & Co), where they worked on various large scale residential projects together.

sheena’s background was in business before she completed a graduate degree in interior design at parsons. she previously worked for several designers + architects including bunny williams and INC architecture + design, where she worked on private residences + hospitality projects including the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge.
